Our topic for Spring 2 2024 is:

Welsh Culture

We are very lucky to have a large and spacious Early years setting that offers a full time place (9am-3pm) for Nursery aged children.

Reception children start their day at 8:50am, and Nursery children start their day at 9:00am. We always welcome everyone into our setting with our Bore da song and take the register. We then sing lots of songs and chat about the day ahead.  We settle with our friends to eat our toast and drink our milk. We then rotate through lots of busy jobs before playing outdoors in our Early Years yard. 

We have our lunch in the school hall and then enjoy a play outside with our friends. We all get together to sing our Prynhawn da song. During the afternoon we rotate around lots of fun activities. We finish Nursery at 3:00pm and Reception children finish at 3:20pm.   

Our PE day is every Thursday. Please could all children come to school wearing their PE kit- white t.shirt, black/ navy shorts, leggings or joggers, school jumper/ cardigan and trainers. No jewellery is to be worn to school. 

We are a healthy school.  Please could you ensure all snack brought into school is healthy (e.g. fruit, yoghurts, water etc.). Please ensure grapes are cut in half. 

Please can you ensure your child's snack, water bottles and items of clothing are clearly labelled with their names. 

We take part in Forest School activities every Monday. Children are encouraged to wear old clothes to school and have appropriate footwear and coats. 

In Dosbarth Enfys we use SeeSaw as our learning platform. Your child should have received their log in details. If you have not, or are struggling to access it please do not hesitate to contact us. 

We have an open door policy. If you need to discuss anything with us you can contact us via SeeSaw, before school or at the end of the day.
