Dosbarth Aur (Year 6)
Dear parents and children / Annwyl Rhieni a annwyl blant
Welcome to Gold Class, Year 6! / Croeso i'r Dosbarth Aur, blwyddyn chewch!
Here is some information we would like to share with you...
Class teacher: Mrs R Holder
Mrs Holder is the school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Leader and also coordinates Pupil Parliament.
PE day is a Friday - children are to wear PE kit to school on this day (black jogging bottoms, white t-shirt, school jumper or cardigan). The children are allowed to wear their Leaver's hoodie for PE.
The children are encouraged to bring a refillable bottle to class filled with water to keep hydrated throughout the day. We also like them to bring a healthy snack of fruit to school each day too.
The class theme this Autumn Term is ‘All about me…’ and we are going to exploring the heart, blood and a happy, healthy me! The children are always asked to contribute their 'Pupil Voice' to the many learning activities that take place, including learning experiences and enquiry questions. Lots to look forward to!
The class follow the whole school behaviour motto of 'Ready, Respectful, Safe'. They are encouraged to work together and support one another's skills and interests. We encourage each other to have a positive growth mindset.
Pupil Leadership Team 2024-2025 are:
Head Boy: Kian
Head Girl: Poppy
Deputy Head Boy: Jack
Deputy Head Girl: Destiny
The team was voted into position by the children from Years 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. They were even interviewed by Mrs Cairns!
Homework is set every Friday using Google Classroom. Work must be ‘handed in’ by Monday morning.
Readers are sent home weekly to children still working within the school reading scheme.
We also encourage the children to regularly practise their recall of time table facts.
